Personal development
Graduate development program
This is a new programme which has been designed for companies who employ graduates (or people for whom a fast track to management is required) but do not run a recognised scheme for personal development once they are employed
The SMAART programme offers a modular programme run over 2 years. It provides a level 5 diploma qualification which is externally accredited. It provides 225 “guided” learning hours for every participant over the 2 years.
The key benefits to the organisation are:
- A recruitment incentive as graduates can see a development path being offered
- A structured programme of development which is work related. Participants continue with their “day job” whilst completing work based assignments as part of the programme
- Special projects can be included as part of the programme and so companies can use high calibre graduates to complete this type of work whilst completing the programme
- Optional modules allow the programme to align to your business needs
- People on the programme will become more effective more quickly
- Demonstrating investment and value in your staff will improve staff retention
The key benefits for graduates are:
- An externally recognised and accredited qualification when the course is completed
- The opportunity to share work experiences with graduates from other companies during the programme
- A modular programme ensures that the course fits in with other work activities
- You can select from optional modules to tailor make the programme for yourself and your organisation
Structure
- Five core plus 3 optional modules make up the programme. Detailed content and learning outcomes are available for each module
- SMAART tutors/assessors support participants throughout the programme
